harmonic theory III
melodic minor
If the 6th step of the harmonic minor scale is increased by a halftone, the melodic minor scale arises.
This scale got a dominat sept accord on the 5th step. Because of its missing 3-halfton-step it sounds a bit mor round than harmonic minor.

A new scale arises if the 6th step of a major-scale is decreased by a halftone. Its called harmonic major.
